Performance
dream-seeds at Ormside Projects, October 2025
Filmed by Alfie Johnson
‘Dream-seeds’ is a performance that uses found sound, digital rhythms and vocals to navigate patriarchal colonial capitalism’s relationship with othered bodies, including the earth. In this performance, I move through the personal experience of seeking connection in the information age, reflecting on my habits of consumption and codependent relationship with destructive systems of living. Sonically, the performance explores a realm between harsh/uncomfortable and ambient/meditative sounds through processing recordings of Instagram ads - looping, glitching, feedbacking, droning. Paired with spoken word and vulnerable vocals, this processing is a metaphor for how we can use grief and anger to dream into being systems of living rooted in care: the ruins of empire - compost for our dream-seeds.

Gesture
22.05.2020
"Gesture" is a hybrid performance/video of an electronic composition of the same name that meanders through moods and genres. It was presented for the first time as part of a livestreamed event, Digital Slip, by the art collective Double Okay.
As a livestreamed piece, it explores the possibilities of performance when it isn’t live, and how through the format of video, it is possible to play with notions of time and presence.
